How to choose the transcription language

AudioScribe transcribes far more than English. When your audio is in another language, tell us which one as you upload — it gives you a noticeably more accurate transcript than leaving it to auto-detect.

Steps

1. Click Import to open the upload window.
2. Open the Transcription Language dropdown. It's set to Auto Detect by default.
3. Pick your language — for example Spanish, French, German, or Japanese.
4. Add your file. Drop it in or browse to it, and it uploads and transcribes in the language you chose.

Supported languages

English (Global, US, UK, Australian), Chinese (Mandarin), Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

Tip: Language is chosen per upload, so you can transcribe a Spanish interview and an English meeting in the same workspace. Not sure? Leave it on Auto Detect and we'll do our best to detect it for you.
