Your transcripts, inside ChatGPT
The AudioScribe Assistant connects ChatGPT to your transcript library. Search across every recording, pull up exact quotes with speaker labels and timestamps, and ask questions about your meetings, interviews, and lectures — without leaving ChatGPT.
Requires an AudioScribe account and a ChatGPT plan that supports GPTs.
What you can do
Search everything
Find the moment something was said across your entire library, not just one file.
“Find where we discussed the Q3 budget.”
Read exact transcripts
Pull up any transcript verbatim — speaker labels and timestamps intact, never paraphrased.
“Show me the full transcript of Tuesday's interview.”
Summarize on demand
Get the short version of any recording when you don't have time to reread it.
“Summarize the client kickoff in five bullets.”
Ask follow-up questions
Treat your recordings like a knowledge base and dig into what was actually said.
“What did the second speaker say about pricing?”
How it works

Sign in once
Connect your AudioScribe account with a secure sign-in. No passwords are shared with ChatGPT.
Just ask
Search, read, and summarize any transcript in your workspaces, in plain English.
Private by design
- Read-only: the Assistant can read your transcripts but can never edit or delete anything.
- You're in control: ChatGPT only sees the transcripts you ask it to fetch, and you can disconnect the Assistant from your ChatGPT settings at any time.
- Heads up: content you request is processed by OpenAI under your own ChatGPT settings — treat it like anything else you paste into ChatGPT.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AudioScribe account?
Yes. The Assistant works with the transcripts in your AudioScribe workspaces, so you'll sign in with your AudioScribe account the first time you use it. A free account works — every plan includes transcription, AI summaries, and search.
Is the Assistant free to use?
The Assistant itself is free. You need a ChatGPT plan that supports GPTs, and an AudioScribe account (free or paid) for your transcripts.
What can ChatGPT access?
Only the transcripts in workspaces you belong to, read-only, and only when you ask for them. It cannot upload, edit, or delete anything, and it never sees your AudioScribe password.
How do I disconnect it?
Remove the connection from your ChatGPT settings (Settings → Connected apps), or revoke access from your AudioScribe account. Disconnecting takes effect immediately.
