How to delete your account

You can delete your AudioScribe account yourself, anytime, from Settings. Deleting is permanent — so it's worth knowing exactly what happens before you confirm.

Steps

1. Go to Settings and open the Profile page (under My Account).
2. Scroll to Delete Account and click Delete Your Account.
3. Review what gets removed. Deleting your account will:
   • Cancel your subscription
   • Delete all your uploaded media files
   • Delete all your transcripts
   • Delete all your folders
   • Delete your account
4. Optionally tell us why you're leaving — it genuinely helps us improve.
5. Tick the confirmation box ("Yes, I'm sure…") and click Delete Account.

This takes effect immediately and can't be undone. You'd need to sign up again to use AudioScribe.

Before you delete

• Want to keep a copy? Export your transcripts first — once the account is deleted, they're gone.
• Just want to stop paying? You don't have to delete your account — cancel your subscription instead and keep your files on the free plan.
