Transcribe Recorded Phone Calls
Already have a call recording? Upload it here and read it back as a clean, speaker-labeled transcript in seconds — who said what, laid out line by line. Free, no signup. We transcribe recordings you already have; we don't record or join your calls.
How it works
Find your call recording
Locate the file your call-recorder app or voicemail saved — usually an .mp3, .m4a, or .wav. Most recorder apps let you share or export a saved call as an audio file you can upload.
Upload it here
Drop the file in or click to browse. Recordings up to 5 minutes are free, and each speaker on the call is labeled automatically.
Read, copy, or download
Read the speaker-separated transcript on the page, copy it, or download it as TXT, PDF, or Word to save or forward.
Why people transcribe recorded calls
A recorded call is a conversation worth keeping. Turn it into a speaker-labeled transcript you can read at a glance, save permanently, search later, and forward in writing.
Customer support calls
Keep a written record of what was said, promised, and agreed on a support line.
Sales calls
Capture requirements, objections, and next steps without scrubbing back through the audio.
Phone interviews
Turn a recorded interview into a speaker-separated transcript for quotes and notes.
Verbal agreements & recaps
Document the details of a negotiation or agreement discussed over the phone.
Family & personal calls
Save a text copy of a conversation that matters before it's gone.
Dispute documentation
Keep a written record of a call for your own reference when the details count.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes — transcribing recorded calls up to 5 minutes is free with no signup. For longer recordings, AI summaries, and more export options, create a free account.
Does this record my phone calls?
No. This tool transcribes call recordings you already have — it doesn't record calls, connect to your phone line, or join a call. Capture the recording with your phone or a call-recorder app first, then upload the saved file here.
Does it label who said what?
Yes — multi-speaker calls are automatically split by speaker, so it's clear which side of the conversation said what. This works best when each person's voice is reasonably distinct in the recording.
My call-recorder app exported an .amr file — will that work?
Not currently — the tool doesn't accept AMR, which many call-recorder apps use by default. Convert the file to MP3 or M4A first (a free audio converter handles this), then upload it here. MP3, M4A, MP4, WAV, MOV, WEBM, AAC, and FLAC all work.
Is it legal to record a phone call?
Recording laws vary by location — some places allow one party to consent, others require everyone on the call to consent. This tool only transcribes recordings you already have, and it's your responsibility to make sure any call was recorded lawfully where you and the other parties are. This isn't legal advice; check the laws that apply in your area.
Is my recording stored anywhere?
No. Call recordings are often personal or sensitive, so your file is sent for transcription and is not retained on our servers.
