What AudioScribe.io is

AudioScribe.io turns your audio and video recordings into accurate, searchable transcripts. It's built for long-form, multi-speaker recordings — the interviews, research sessions, lectures, and podcast tapings you record yourself.

Every transcript comes with speaker identification and a speaker timeline. You can rename a speaker everywhere at once, or reassign an individual line — even a single word. AI summaries give you the short version, built-in AI chat answers questions across your transcripts, full-index search finds the moment something was said, and synced video playback keeps the transcript and the footage in step. Transcripts export to TXT, SRT, and VTT.

There are three ways to use it: the free tools on this site transcribe files up to 5 minutes with no signup, a free account covers 3 files a day at up to 25 minutes per file, and the Standard plan ($19.99/month or $120/year) unlocks unlimited transcripts, up to 10 hours per file.

AudioScribe.io is operated by AudioScribe Technologies, LLC, founded in 2024. The product is hosted in US data centers.

We're a small team, and we build AudioScribe.io around one job: making long recordings easy to search, quote, and understand after the fact.

Not to be confused with…

A few unrelated products share the AudioScribe name. To keep things clear:

• AudioScribe (court reporting) — The computer-aided transcription (CAT) software for court reporters at audioscribe.com. We are not affiliated with it — if you're looking for stenography or CAT software, that's the one you want.
• Other products named AudioScribe — Assorted apps and tools use the same or a similar name. We're not connected to them either.

Everything we make lives at audioscribe.io (this site) and app.audioscribe.io (the app). If it isn't on one of those domains, it isn't us.
